The CSE/Capital and Class Midlands group was launched in April 2015 to provide a forum for radical and anti-capitalist activists, critical scholars, and activist/critical scholars to meet and discuss events, current theoretical debates, readings of Marxist and other radical politics texts, work-in-progress, and political campaigns, all of relevance to the aims of the Conference of Socialist Economists.

The group was initially formed out of the POLSIS Marxist and Radical Politics Study Group, which ran for several years at the University of Birmingham (see earlier posts on the blog page for details).

It is currently convened by David Bailey (University of Birmingham) and Darcy Luke (University of Birmingham).
